Appearance Note
Whoops! I meant to note this earlier, but I’ve been preoccupied. So I’ll do it now.
If you live in the Western Ohio/Eastern Indiana area and want to see me in person, but don’t want to bother me at home and/or risk having me set the dog on you as you roll up my driveway unannounced (the former of which I appreciate and the latter of which the dog would be delighted to take part in), I’m delighted to tell you there’s an alternative: I’ll be making a library appearance this Sunday, 2:30pm, at the Amos Public Library in Sidney, Ohio. It’s at 230 North Street in that lovely town. While I’m there I’ll be giving a presentation of some sort (what kind? Beats me; I’ll see what the audience wants me to blabber on about) and also signing books. I am told there will also be books available for purchase there, in case you weren’t already stocked up.
So if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon, there’s an idea for you. Hey, it’s that or football.

Hm. I want to go to this, but I just got my motorcycle license last Thursday and I don’t think an hour-long trip to an unfamiliar place is a good first freeway excursion. Maybe if I can map a decent back-roads route that isn’t too twisty (why yes, I am a wussie. Thanks for asking).

It demonstrates amazing courage to put yourself in competition with professional football. I mean maybe if I was really close and it was a really boring game.
Dear me… John, please be careful in Sidney, Ohio. I know that library *very* well; I spent most of my childhood in it. It’s lovely, full of solid and gorgeous wooden tables and even more gorgeous books. But I also know the town that surrounds it.
While you may well be speaking to friends in the library, there will be many folks in the town of different views. My parents, to name a few. Speak well, then duck and cover. I’d be there, but I have this job in New Hampshire (not to mention this house in NH, and this fiancee in NH…)
But since you’ll be in town, I’d suggest a ramble through Tawawa Park. It’s going to be beautiful this time of year!
