Happy New Year. And etc.

Comments

  1. Dan says:

Still a half hour away here, so don’t spoil it for me by telling it how it was, okay?

    But, did it rock?

  2. John Scalzi says:

    So far, it doesn’t suck.

  3. Scott says:

You know, I think I’m going to stick with 2007. I’m comfortable with it, it functions pretty well, and I just don’t see the need to upgrade at this time.

  4. Rigel Kent says:

Scott@3 says You know, I think I’m going to stick with 2007. I’m comfortable with it, it functions pretty well, and I just don’t see the need to upgrade at this time.”

Good luck with that one Scott. Let me know how it works out.

For everyone else, Happy New Year!

  5. Happy New Year!

One hour old and things are going well! Yippee!

  6. Kaf says:

Sorry Scott, but as you can see:

It’s an automatic upgrade. And there’s no option to revert to the previous version.

See what product monopoly leads to?! Someone should look into what it would take for a class action lawsuit against time for its anti-competitive practices.

  7. Michael Kranjcevich says:

still have 90 minutes in Seattle, and oh look, theres that “live” broadcast from New York….

  8. Tully says:

    Especially the etc.

    All best, everyone.

  9. Dana Jean says:

Michael Kranjcevich: still have 90 minutes in Seattle, and oh look, theres that “live” broadcast from New York….

    “live”

    Dick Clark.

One of these things is not like the other.

  10. Syd says:

    Happy New Year!

I’m sorry, I don’t seem to have anything cleverer to contribute…

  11. Nina A says:

    Happy New Year everyone.

  12. Now where is the first picture of 2008 of The Beauteous Ghlaghghee?

    The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club

  13. Kaytie says:

They’re still woot-ing on the streets of downtown San Diego as of now, 1:30 am. Happy New Year once it quiets down a bit.

  14. MWT says:

Hrm. I started mine with a migraine. Hopefully it’ll only improve from here on out.

  15. Karen says:

The cable guide insisted that New Year’s Eve was on ABC here, but it was a lie until almost midnight. Instead it was MASH and then one of those Entertainment news programs.

Good New Year’s themed MASH, though.

I should go to bed now so I can get up tomorrow and write. I want this to be the year of “Be like until the Scalzi. Do the work.”

  16. Karen says:

Drat. Preview, Karen. There’s always a typo. (like UNTO the Scalzi)

  17. Joe Sherry says:

    And also with you.

  18. Nathan says:

And many happy etceteras to all of you, too.

  19. Astaryth says:

And a Happy, Happy to you and the family (and all the furs)…

  20. PixelFish says:

    Hippo gnu eeyore.

I hope this next one’s a good one for everybody. My last year went pretty well, so I’m inclined to be charitable towards the next one.

  21. To you as well, Scalzi. The quadruped I room with is complaining that his new year has begun with a distinct lack of fresh hay–a fact that he’s loudly protesting as I type this. I should probably go fix that before he knocks over his hay feeder.

Here’s hoping you and yours have a happy, safe, fulfilling, and educational twenty-oh-eight.

  22. Dawn says:

Happy New Year! Again… love the cats… Lopsided Cat almost looks straight… lol

    be well…

  23. boliyou says:

Happy new year! We’ve made it almost 20 hours and nothing’s broken yet!
