Given the theme of her novel, she might find Bear's series quite interesting. Having lived in New York on and off for 25 years, I can attest to the magic of Central Park. It is a wondrous thing. The park is most magical after a fresh snowfall. If one avoids looking upwards, one feels ensorcelled by the joy of being someplace outside the realm of daily existence.
