    I once did a search on “SF conventions”, thinking I would get all manner of links to SF cons more local to me. Um…the search results were definitely an eye-opener.

  3. John, I am three months older than you and in no way, shape or form will I consider 40 middle age. Maybe when I turn 50.

  4. Ooh, I haven’t been up Twin Peaks in ages-the view is always lovely from there (my second favorite after the Marin Headlands) except when the fogs envelops it, then it’s all ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’.

  5. Well, now, middle age would seem to imply the middle of your lifespan, so that would depend on how long one plans on living. I plan to life forever, and so far, so good!

  6. I flew out of San Jose at night heading north a few years ago and remember seeing a similar cool view of San Francisco. Bright lights up until you pass into Marin County where the lights suddenly go out.
