Umm, wow.
That’s pretty freakin’ awesome. It really does tell the truth behind Wil’s heartless malice. We may never learn why he turned out the way he did.
I can’t be listening to these things at work, but I promise that as soon as I get home I will download it and, indeed, treasure it until the end of my days!
I should be afraid now.
Life changing. Seriously.
i knew it was all about that evil clown sweater!
I think he still holds the grudge about the Velvet Wesley – such insult demands blood. Although wreaking havoc across the land is overreacting a bit.So before the world tuns into volcanic wasteland please kiss and make up.
Oops, I forgot – no slash.
I saw a guy playing the violin to Super Mario this morning. I thought that would be coolest thing I heard today. I was so wrong.
Mr. Scalzi: Thank you so much for linking to the song. I’m delighted to hear that you seem to enjoy it.
Everyone Else: Thank you for all of the kind words.
Wow.
It’s the “again” that makes it.
And I like that Scalzi is the oppressed and ever loyal good guy still poignantly hoping against hope to redeem his straying friend, even as Wil Wheaton levels his treacherous spear at his heart. I fear I had been assuming Wil Wheaton’s aggression was justified just because Scalzi is an Orc. It’s good that speculative fiction still has the power to make us question our preconceptions this way.
Sophia @#11 beat me to it: It’s the “again” that kills. Awesome stuff. I became a fan of John’s when he wrote GRRM Is Not Your Bitch, and this one just proves his awesome once again. Wonderful. :)
As I commented on Mr. Anealio’s post, not only do I approve this message, I’m also learning to play the song so someday I can join him in performing it live!
(Fun fact: my previous career was “hair band lead singer/guitarist.”)
I definitely enjoy the Queensryche-y vibe of the opening lines! :D It’s worth a double-goat.
