  1. You! Scalzi! Put down the mouse and go play with kids, wife and pets! The only computer related thing you’re allowed to do today is kill zombies. Sheesh, man…

  2. Yeah, what rickg said. Although, it must also be said that you have a gorgeous house; I’m jealous.

    Now go play with wife/kid/pets!

    :-)

  3. Not just the house…great weather, good dog, great wife and daughter. I’m jealous (and you’re younger than I am). But you certainly deserve all you have.
I didn’t notice the basketball hoop in previous pictures – who plays besides you?

  4. You’ve had much better weather today than us here in SE England. It must be lovely to have all that land to enjoy it in.

  5. And not just a nice b-ball hoop, but an outdoor glass backboard? NOW I’m envious…..

  6. That first photo looks like an establishing shot on The Waltons. You’ve got some fine property out there!

  7. Not just the house…great weather, good dog, great wife and daughter. I’m jealous (and you’re younger than I am). But you certainly deserve all you have.

  8. Lookit dat dawg. Wanna pet it.

I can feel the lovely sunshine through my monitor, so glad you had good weather to welcome you home to your family! I’m sure they’re awesome on rainy days as well, but it helps when everyone can go outside to frolic on your palatial lawn.

  9. A group of more than 200 Japanese pensioners is volunteering to tackle the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima power station.
The “Skilled Veterans Corps”, as they call themselves, is made up of retired engineers and other professionals, all over the age of sixty. One of the group, Yasuteru Yamada, told the BBC’s Roland Buerk that they should be facing the dangers of radiation, not the young.

I did two things on my seventy-fifth birthday. I put flowers on my wife’s grave. And I joined the AEC…

  10. Love the sunshine. Love the lawn. Love the house. Love the family. Love the dog. But…where are the cats???

  11. Wow. So much of that green stuff … what’s the word, “vegetation?” You must get a lot of that other stuff … erm … “rain?” in your neck of the woods.

This is the place where you leave the things you think
