In Repose

Yes, I’m playing with Photoshop again. But I like the result.

  1. Erik V. Olson says:

That’s an excellent picture, great exposure. The only thing I’d do to it is crop the top out a little bit (rule of thirds) and then I’d print and hang that one in a moment.

    Nice work.

  2. RK Bentley says:

Cool. Highly recommend using Smart Sharpen under the Filter drop down.

  3. M.A. says:

Good shot; she looks all comfy. How come there aren’t any cats taking advantage?

  4. Mrs. L says:

Note to Scalzi regarding Erik V. Olson invoking the rule of thirds — I’d like to invoke Edison: “Hell, there are no rules here; we’re trying to accomplish something.”

    Screw the croppage.

  5. Ana says:

Idk what was the idea of this photo, but it looks scary for me .

  6. Bill says:

Good picture and good use of negative space. I wouldn’t crop.

  7. Annie says:

Also not down with the cropping. The expanse of space above her head is what makes the photo work for me, largely because it gives such a nice amount of room for the light.

  8. Ali says:

    Love this. Really great photo.

  9. Julia S. says:

Wow, that makes Krissy look very Bloomsbury Group (which is a great compliment in my book).

  10. LoLo Gibson says:

    Beautiful..
