It’s so beautiful to see a person so in love with his spouse for so long. I’ve been married a wee six months, and your happiness is my goal. Cheers to you Mr. Scalzi.
photographically speaking, by overexposing her face, her skin washed out, drawing the attention to her eye and mouth. And you placed her eye right on the intersection of a “rule of thirds” point. Her lips are also fairly close to the rule of thirds line at the bottom. And her pose is head down, slightly tilted to the side.
The very best thing about Himself is not his writing, but the fact that he is a solid family man and absolutely adores his wife. Frankly, he could be a crappy writer and this other part would him an admirable man.
This is one of those posts that makes me want to thank you for sharing your life with us all.
The connection with a favorite author is a very real one for the reader. It is intimate, personal and . . . historically one way. The way you use this blog to share yourself with us is very meaningful and wonderful. Sure, it is still one way, but I makes us feel like we know you and share your life with you.
We get to root for you when you succeed and taste a little bit of the hard work you put in when faced with a deadline. You are also a good example that I really appreciate. Thanks so very much.

RT @Spinecrack: @scalzi You'd been stuck in a box. So I took you out and sat you in the mid-morning Tasmanian sun. You looked happy.. http:… 15 hours ago
I’d say your a lucky man, Mr. Scalzi, but I’m pretty sure that being the man you are had plenty to do with it.
Was the purpose of this post simply to post a photo of your attractive wife? It’s good to be blog master ;-)

Wow.
I think that goes in your top photos.
That is a great pic of your wife!
AWWWWWW!
Can’t argue with that, my friend. Nothing quite like home and family.
Do Krissy and Athena ever get to come along on your various trips? Sometimes I like to tag along with my husband when he travels.
This gets me right in the feels… being missed is such a wonderful thing.
I have this feeling that Scalzi won’t be posting anything else today. This is a good thing.
Va-Va-Va-Va-VOOM!
If any of my beaux had ever taken such a great photo of me, I’d've married him in a heartbeat.
Yowza.
Daaaaaaamn.
I’ll second that: You’re a lucky man. It’s nice to be selfishly single, but it’s also nice to have someone love you as much as she obviously does.
First comment: Awww, that is so sweet. Sniffle.
One of the best lines from Bujold (whose work is full of great lines): My home is not a place, it is a person.
daaawwww….
You big softy you….

magnifique!
I am in awwwwwww! Don’t mind us … the Internet will find something to do.
Is she in color in real life?
Awwwww…
She looks awfully monochrome and oversaturated, but it’s what’s inside that counts.
Your wife….she’s full of awesomeness!!! I’m glad you have her to come home to. Love you both.
braggart! nice to have someone like that to brag about…..AND it’s a cool photo too.
Very nice. Great photo, great sentiment.
Lovely. Both of you.

Does your wife know? Wait. Never mind.
