I don’t get it. I must be too young.
Oh, the kids these days.
21st century equivalent: Mashing Kelli Clarkson with Interpol.
AAUGUUGHHHH MY BRAIN!!!!!!!!
Ow. Just ow.
That takes me back to my sophmore year of HS. When (*hottie*) Terri M. had a crush on me but I was such a geek as to have no clue. And even if I knew, I wouldn’t have known how to seal the deal, if you know what I mean.
Anyone else remember “Women” by Def Leppard ?
They say that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes.
And that was the soundtrack.
80s Flashback
John Scalzi provides us with this “Unholy 80s Mashup”, providing music that evokes disturbing memories. Adds a commenter: They say that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes. And that was the soundtrack. I’m split. I’m known for…
I feel so extraordinary / Something’s got a hold on me / I get this feeling I’m in motion / A sudden sense of liberty
John … go back to work…
You’re stalling… get back to work. ;)
I Love it!

Oh. My. Gosh. That must suck.
Just be prepared to scream.
Screaming in motion, any other cautions?
Meep.
That’s….disturbing. On so many levels.
(My younger siblings like this group called Dune that covers a lot of 80s music, and they don’t understand why I run screaming from their cover of Depeche Mode’s Somebody.)
I’m not totally sure why, but I think my reaction to this is the same as if I heard a Nitzer Ebb cover by Alvin and the Chipmunks.
This may revive Belinda Carlisle’s career! I dunno, it brings back a lot of nice memories, so I’ll give it a ’75’. It does have a wicked beat and you can still dance to it.
Oh yeah? Try this one.

What really scares me is how well that works. (Yes, it’s for nonstandard values of “well”….)

“Oh yeah? Try this one.”
Holy crap. I have not the words.
My wife is the 80s fan between us. I just burned that to a CD and put it into her car stereo. Let’s find out if I’m still married on Saturday.
