Feeling Patriotic

You know, I couldn’t possibly give a crap about college basketball, so I just surprised the hell out of myself by yelling “all right!” when I read that George Mason beat Connecticut to make it to the Final Four. I guess I’m a sucker for an underdog just like everybody else, particularly one from an area I have a house in. Also, you know in Hollywood someone’s already started pitching a movie about this one. Good for George Mason.
You know, that was the second college basketball game I watched all season. I generally watch more than that, but I was busy … or something. But if GMU keeps on winning, I’ll be watching at least two more. Great game!
George Mason is a big favorite for me, and if I’m not mistaken, among a large number of my family and friends. They beat UNC earlier in the tournament but aren’t on the UNC enemies list, so that means if they win, we can say “at least we lost to the eventual champion” but not be terminally annoyed by the mere fact of their success.
