Because I Am a Bad Bad Person…

… I find this almost unspeakably funny.
Well, except for that very last part. But right up to that.
Update: It appears to be an edit of an ad for Nokia (Thanks, Codepope, for the catch). Still funny, however, and I feel better about laughing.
I feel guilty for laughing. But I laughed.
That was some seriously funny shit. I bet the cat is no worse for the wear. Cats hit walls all the time, don’t they??
Awaiting PETA…
Ah, but thats an edit of the Nokia Cat Ad (full version at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6416475151100839014 ) which shows the full “alledgedly spec” advert.
I didn’t find it funny at all, quite the contrary. Objectively, I think, one can make the following observations: the cat was induced into a dangerous situation that quite possibly caused it significant pain, and possibly permanent damage.
I’m certainly no peta-ite, in fact I’m a meat-eating rightwing dog-owner. However, taking advantage of the innocence of pets is sick, not funny.
But hey, I’m kind of a weirdo. Call me crazy, but I won’t even watch video of people getting their heads cut off.
How about you?
It’s not real.
Get over yourself
(cat lover)
I got my cat to do that same trick, she did have the bad grace to retract her claws right when her exact parabolic descent would take her into my daughters godfish bowl. Oh well, poop rolls down hill and I guess the goldfish had it coming.
Yeah all the stuff on that site is fake anyway. Too bad.
Since it is a fake I can laugh guilt-free.
When I thought it was real I laughed, tried to suppress the laugh, and felt guilty about it. So I had mixed emotions.
There is something hard-wired in the male psyche which finds slapstick humor funny, even cruel-animal slapstick humor.
I’ve given up denying my guilty pleasures. I acknowledge the guilt and the pleasure both.
THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
Funniest. Cat. Commercial. Ever.
Will,
I won’t even watch video of people getting their heads cut off.
Will you watch slapstick – say the “Three Stooges?”
It’s obvious the cat video is real, that’s the source of its appeal (for those so inclined). Those who pretend otherwise should engage in a bit of soul-searching.
I was in tears until I saw the second video. Then again, kitty probably avulsed a a claw or two and was sore for a while. Though that has happened once here, and they act like it doesn’t hurt very much (it looks grusome).
I laughed, I cried, I showed it to my wife. Two of those are true.
As funny as that is, and it is funny, funnier still is the video of the dog who attacks his own leg.

Are you calling me a liar?
You give liberals a bad name.
Bruce,
Thanks for the pointer! That is one schizo dog.
