Two Reviews

A couple of quick review links: Steven Bainbridge has nice things to say about “The Sagan Diary” and the Davis Enterprise likes The Android’s Dream. I am pleased with the former review because it’s really the first one I’ve seen of “Sagan,” and Professor Bainbridge has been an avid reader of the previous work, so I’m happy to see “Sagan” works for him; the latter one I like for this quote: “It takes talent to write a novel in which the world may be saved by a sheep.” That’s back cover-worthy.

  1. Drat, the macro isn’t working properly yet, so this congrat is brought to you via my own cold, tingling fingers.

Congrats on the good reviews. And that does sound like a good quote for the paperback version. And now more Scalzi with emotional depth! You may have to mark those depths for OSHA compliance. Although I have to disagree with Kristin about finally turning your pen to humor, I found parts of TGB very funny.

  2. Mr. Bainbridge’s review made me want to sit down and read The Sagan Diary again, this time with a “glass or three of port.” (Alas, no cigar for me.)

Seriously, it’s a book to savor again and again as the years go by. The prose is that good.

  4. Sorry about the double post. I hate computers, though that doesn’t stop me from taking money to work with them. Usually with more competence than I just demonstrated.
