The Standard Back From Long Trip E-Mail Post

As I am back home, I’ve turned off the vacation setting on my e-mail and have commenced to drill down on all the e-mail I may have missed/was ignoring until I got back home. If you sent me an e-mail in the last week, and I haven’t responded to it by close of business today, and you were hoping to get a response from me, please feel free to resend. Thanks.
These types of posts always make me wish I had emailed you something. Not that I have any worldly reason to email you, but for some reason I get the urge. I know! Maybe I’ll email you some of my unpublished work… you do accept that sort of thing, right??
If you’re unpublished work is a map to where gold is hidden — I’ll be happy to look at it for you. ;)
For the record, I didn’t send you an email. Should I send an email stating that I did not send an email requesting that you reply to say that you got my email confirming that I did not send an email in the first place so I don’t need a response.
Was going to send you an email, now glad I waited.
I not quite awake yet. What are we doing? Emailing Scalzi our unpublished manuscripts? OK, I’m in. I’ve got this one that starts with a chapter long burp about a chick who’s half Alpaca and people need her for some ceremony or something. I haven’t quite figured out all the details yet.
Just eat some beans, Jim. It sounds like a novel if you just eat some beans first.
Beans? For breakfast? OK. Where’d I put those microwave burritos?
