Damn.
I don’t know why, but when I hear the word “sunset” I think of California and the sun setting over the Pacific. We don’t get anything like that here, though.
Very pretty. Peaceful. Thanks.
I think the last sunset picture is my personal fave. There’s just something freaky scary about it with that whole boiling sky thing.
Yep, I remember those. You missed a great one on July 23rd.
What’s the red light in the dawn picture? Is that downtown Bradford?
the photos are lovely…How do you get the sky to stand still long enough to take these shots? One of these days I am going to take a decent photo….for real…I am….
BTW (pardon the pun) I like this site better and I am going to check out some of the writers you are blogging about.
Cassie:
Actually, I took this picture on July 23rd, but posted it a couple of days later.
Red light: Yes, that’s Bradford.
Very nice. And while I’m complementing, thanks for the Whatever. Nice joint you got here John. Best wishes for the new year, and see you this summer at Armadillocon.
Cassie @4: What’s the red light in the dawn picture? Is that downtown Bradford?
Scalzi @6: Red light: Yes, that’s Bradford.
Gee, I didn’t know Bradford had a downtown, let alone a red light district.
The Executive Committee of The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club demands more than equal time for Magnificent She.
A year-end retrospective would be suitable.

What kind of camera and lens are you using? That last shot of Venus at sunrise was really low-noise!
Yes, I agree with chang. I would like to see more photos and hear about The Life and Times of Ghlaghgheehehahohaohalalachoochoo. She is beautiful and although she is not a Ragdoll, she sure looks like one. I own a blue bicolor Ragdoll and soon I will be getting a little seal colorpoint boy who hopefully will grow up as beautiful as she is. I would post a picture, but I don’t think we can here. Or, is there a spot? I’m new so not sure about the etiquette regarding that or your rules about photos. (I’m sure you probably have some Read The Rules place, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. (I know it’s probably a fascinating bit of writing and I’m eager to read it. No. Really.)
Iz in ur blog stealn ur wallpaprz!
Cool stuff. Great sunset pics.
Dana Jean: Come check out Whateveresque. :) It’s a whole forum for us comment groupies to post such things as photos of cats.
Thank you MWT. I’ll stop by.
Oooo, I just went and found one spot with cat pictures. Everybody has such beautiful kitty kids.
Missed the fourth from the bottom. Very nice. It’s like the spine of some vast aethereal creature.
John, I didn’t realize you lived so close to Barad-dûr.
Yeah, the orcs can get annoying sometimes.
Fourth photo. Just sayin’.
