Lazy Sunday, Cat Style

No idea where Zeus is. Probably off leaping on something.

  1. O Great Scalzi, you have simply outdone yourself this month. May 2008 will go down as one of your finest. We expect that She has decided your former abilities are simply too limited for what She has in store for you, and has improved you.

    Well done, Our Magnificent Lady!

PS – The Beauteous Ghlaghghee is a bit out of focus, is she not? Or is it our tears of joy that is blurring the picture?

  2. Where cats are concerned every day is lazy day and this is a good thing. I imagine Zeus is in fact off napping on something.

  3. But, as is often the case, there’s no mention of Kodi the Wonder Dog. Perhaps she is munching on the most recently detached hand of someone going for the ARC and Mr. Scalzi did not want to document the gore.

  4. Hey, that’s how I’ve been spending my Sunday too! I must be doing something right if I’m in synch with Ghlaghghee and LC.

By the way John, I’ve been reading your site for a few months but haven’t delurked until now. Delurking has become absolutely essential today however because I need to let you know that I ADORE the new site design. The colours and photograph are perfect.

    Cheers

  5. If humans *really* had control of the planet, that’s what *we* would be doing … every day.

  6. Any household that includes cats is not, in fact, run by any mere biped. Look at who gets to do all the housework…

I submit that this just might be true of the entire planet.

  7. Indeed it appears as if the conspiracy theories on cats and world control are true.

My cat used me as a mattress this Sunday…

  8. Oooh, such a beautiful picture of a such beautiful kitty!

Not Chang @ 1: Not really out of focus. The blurring of her body leads your eye to Her gorgeous face, which is wonderfully sharp. This is a technique called “shallow depth of field” and Scalzi’s masterful use of it proves his worthiness to capture Her radiance.

  9. John, from one long hair cat owner to another, do you have your cats groomed? I have a maine coon cat with super long hair, but I’m afraid what she will do when she says an electric razor.
