New AMC Column is Up
Posted on June 5, 2008 Posted by John Scalzi
I’m still sick (indeed, I just woke up from a nap and define the word “groggy”), but I wanted to point to this week’s AMC movie column in which I explain just why SF writers sell their movies to Hollywood. This is a bit of a fellow on to last week’s column about why the movie of your favorite book probably stinks. The question is if everyone knows the book isn’t going to survive the translation, why they still offer up the books. If you think the answer is “for the money, DUH,” you get partial credit, but it’s not the only reason. Head over and feel free to comment there, as always.
