A Side of Ghlaghghee You’ve Never Seen Before

Sure, Ghlaghghee is a cute and fluffy little princess of a kitty. Until you piss her off. And then:

So, you know. Don’t annoy her. I’m serious, man.

  1. Who’s a tickley kitty? Who’s a tickley kitty? Yes you are! Yes you are! Who wants a belly rub? Who wants a belly rub? Oh, yes you do! Yes you do!

    Who’s a pretty kitty? Who’s a –

Ahhhhh! Noooooooo! Get it off me get it off get it off get it off – fRG45gG56y65&^%^h5 ge44

  2. Of course, this look on Ghlaghgee’s could be saying, “I’ve seen the photos of what you did to LC. You better not be planning on doing that to me. I will not be amused. Worse, you will not be amused.”

  3. So. We’ve heard the Lopsided Cat naming story. What’s Ghlaghee’s naming story? It rather sounds like he was one you adopted after s/he jumped on your head and surprised you…

  4. I knew there was a reason why we call it vulture mode.

Now if someone can explain why mine likes to sit behind me and chew on my hair ….

  5. Soni, Dammit… I had JUST FIGURED THAT OUT all by myself, and was going to come and post about how clever I felt, and there you are, stealing all my thunder.

    Curses! CURSEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!

  6. Will demon cat be moved by a proper sacrifice?I hoped to get its help in summoning basement cat.

  7. O Belaboring the Obvious Scalzi, well – duh. And you are just now figuring this out?

We of the Executive Committee of The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club are certain that you have been disciplined by Her many times due to your numerous deficiencies. Why the Beauteous Ghlaghghee taken on the task of improving you is a hot research topic with the membership. We have decided it is something along these lines:

Can Magnificent She build a stone so big She cannot move it?

From the picture of Her Graciousness, we believe the answer is becoming clear.

  8. Is there some connection between Ghlaghghee and the spooky sunset picture that follows??? Just a thought..

  9. Don’t make her angry. You wouldn’t like her when she’s angry.

    Or hungry. Either way works.

  10. This image is particularly apt today. I dreamt last night that Ghlaghee chased you onto the roof of your house (which was, I must confess, shaped rather like the Amityville Horror house), lit a fire in the fireplace, doused the walls and carpet with gasoline, and turned the oven on high. You knew exactly what was going on because Ghlaghee telepathically communicated her actions to you, while I watched from above, incorporeal, omniscient, and horrified. I also dreamt of a demonic Frosty the Snowman statue, and a butterfly with a taste for human flesh. Perhaps these are Ghlaghee’s minions?

  11. Soni @ 11:

I feel kind of dumb not being able to figure it out, but what would Ghlaghghee sound like, as represented in standard English?

  12. “Fluffy.”

Also, there is no standard English. That’s why English rules the world.

  13. Thank you. It’s obvious once you point it out. And also: excellent.

My mental soundtrack for that picture involes Gregorian chanting and some kind of menacing bass track. Maybe bells.

  14. I’m trying to figure out what Ghlaghghee’s crouched on in the picture. Is it a wall or a roof or a desk or what?

  15. I still think it should have been spelled “Ghloughghie”.

Not more correct or anything. Just more fun.

  16. Gillian @21: It could be a pile of Numenorean armor, left lying near the entrance to the Cracks of Doom on Orodruin. Or crematory equipment. Something like that.

  17. “Who’s the fuzzy girl? All cute and cuddly and ready for tummy rubs…

“Somebody’s being ferocious now, isn’t she? Drawing blood with her claws and fangs. Drawing blood from poor innocent hands that only want to tickle her. Such a cruel beast she is to those who feed her.

“So cruel to people she loves. Makes me glad she doesn’t hate my guts. Let’s play with some toys for awhile and work some of that energy off.”

  18. Jeff Hentosz @ 23: Rats! Now I’m embarrassed. Clearly I have a dull and mundane imagination. *Slinks off to recalibrate imagination for future efforts.*
