  1. More polarized filter action, John? Gorgeous picture.

And I think it’s “Ciao” not “Caio”.

  2. Beautiful picture. That sky goes on forever.

Do you ever miss the limited horizons of Fresno, where the sky ends in mountains?

  3. Red sky at night, sailor’s delight — ya’all got a lot of sailors down in SW Ohio?

Very nice, relaxing way to end the day – thank you, John.

  4. Sunset porn?
I haven’t heard anything that strange since those rainbow infestations of ’06…

  5. Wow – I was coming home from Celina’s Lake Festival, looking at the same sunset at about the same time. The clouds were just amazing – it was such a beautiful sunset.

And oddly, enough, I wondered if Scalzi was out looking at the sunset and maybe taking a picture.

  6. Dig the sunset, but what the hell is that mini-Rorschach piece in the banner across the top of the site? I don’t get it.

  7. Very pretty, but you won’t see another one until you sacrifice a beating human heart. Hey, don’t look at me like that, I’m just the messenger.
    Chin chin

  8. I. want. that. camera.

Wow – what a shot! Not temention the view ;)

  9. @10 Burns!, @11 T.M. Wagner:
Athena has tired of swings, and spreads her wings. Look! Up in the air! It’s…

  10. I don’t think I’ve said so in a comment, but I really love your scenery shots. Such a different landscape from any I’m familiar with (born and raised in southern California, now living in the Puget Sound area), but I have a sense of it thanks to your taking the time to chronicle its moods. Thanks!

  11. Stunning.

Okay if I make it my wallpaper? I promise I’ll refer all admirers to this site. Deal?
