A New Place to Eat in LA

The LA Times has nice things to say about Church & State, a new French bistro that’s opened up in downtown Los Angeles, and which my high school classmate, the fabulous Yassmin Sarmadi, just happens to be a principal of (along with Steve Arroyo, who has apparently made a name for himself in the LA restaurant scene). If you’re in the LA area and are looking for some place new to try, why not check it out? And if you see Yassi there, tell her I said hello. I’ll be dropping by there myself the next time I’m in LA, which will be in November. I’m looking forward to it.

Mmmmm. This is relevant to my interests. And my geography.

But I must second Adam’s call for more subway coverage, altough since I live a stone’s heave from a train station, I mainly just want them to run later so as to extend my evening out. Not that I would rejoice if suddenly I could take the train to Culver City.
