Thanks to accidentally overwriting an .htaccess script, I’ve introduced some errors to your viewing pleasure if you’re following old links (i.e., ones at “scalzi.com/whatever” rather than “whatever.scalzi.com”). I’m working to fix it now. Sorry.
Update: Fixed. Thanks to Ryan Boren for his help extracting me from my idiocy.
FYI, I’ve not received any of today’s updates in my Google Reader.
RSS is a mysterious thing I have no control over, I’m afraid.
Hmmm, yes, definitely detecting odd behavior (and your blog is all hosed up too. Ba dum bump! Heh)
As you said to me a while back – please fix that.
The RSS thing will clear as the .htaccess stuff gets straightened out. Meanwhile Google reads as a blast from the Scalzi past.
Mazing how easy it is to be lazy in a world of redirects. Wonder how many other links I haven’t bothered to update that are bouncing a dozen times before I get where I’m really going?
When I had a job doing detailed inputing of library catalog records, there was an office saying, “No ‘oops’ at the terminal.”
Ha! I knew it was stuck on October!!!
But something good has come of it; now my link is actually correct.
You are so fired.
“No ‘oops’ at the terminal.”
Why no oops? Did they not want to know when something had gone wrong or was it just a superstitious thing?
I read that as saying you had accidentally overwritten your jackass script.
Could this be the cause of the Bob Allen crazy-Floridian “pizza money and a hummer” post disappearing? that was brilliant, but it’s gone!

(Also, did a lot of “is”s and “are”s disappear from the “I hate your politics” post [http://scalzi.com/whatever/002984.html] during some migration between versions of blogging software or berween databases?)
Inquiring minds want to know….
