Whoops

Thanks to accidentally overwriting an .htaccess script, I’ve introduced some errors to your viewing pleasure if you’re following old links (i.e., ones at “scalzi.com/whatever” rather than “whatever.scalzi.com”). I’m working to fix it now. Sorry.

Update: Fixed. Thanks to Ryan Boren for his help extracting me from my idiocy.

  1. The RSS thing will clear as the .htaccess stuff gets straightened out. Meanwhile Google reads as a blast from the Scalzi past.

Mazing how easy it is to be lazy in a world of redirects. Wonder how many other links I haven’t bothered to update that are bouncing a dozen times before I get where I’m really going?

  2. When I had a job doing detailed inputing of library catalog records, there was an office saying, “No ‘oops’ at the terminal.”

  3. Ha! I knew it was stuck on October!!!
But something good has come of it; now my link is actually correct.

  4. Could this be the cause of the Bob Allen crazy-Floridian “pizza money and a hummer” post disappearing? that was brilliant, but it’s gone!

(Also, did a lot of “is”s and “are”s disappear from the “I hate your politics” post [http://scalzi.com/whatever/002984.html] during some migration between versions of blogging software or berween databases?)

    Inquiring minds want to know….
