How festive! Happy holidays, Scalzis. :-)

  2. Why are you publishing pictures from last year? You’re usually much more prompt with…

    …wait a second…it can’t be THAT month…can it?

    (checks calendar)

    Eep!

    (runs to storage unit)

  3. Ok, how do you keep the cat from batting at the ornaments or trying to climb the tree? Or do I just have the wrong kind of cat?

  4. I’m convinced that my cats think that they’re going camping when the tree goes up- it’s the same look that a kid gets when building the fort of sofa pillows.

MA@13, I’ve given up on trying to keep them from batting ornaments. Anything breakable goes high on the tree and is wired in tight, and the vast majority of my ornaments are unbreakable.

  5. When we kept cats, they would not set up camp underneath the tree, but up among the branches. More than once we’ve come home or awakened to find the tree down and ornaments scattered or broken.

    John, count yourself lucky.
