And One For the Fan Club

Because, heck, it’s getting near Christmas.

This is Ghlaghghee looking at Zeus as he lounges with the bears, incidentally. I’m not sure that she entirely approves of his insouciance.

  1. O Great Scalzi, what an outstanding picture of Her Most Supreme Shimmering Radiant Perfection.

See what heights you can reach when you have the Executive Committee’s tips freshly and firmly in mind? This should inspire you to further excellent efforts.

The Executive Committee of The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club, a quorum being duly assembled, unanimously awards you the coveted Seal of Approval Award:

The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club Seal of Approval Award
    valid from 19 December 2009 to 25 December 2009

Note the extra-long duration. Merry Christmas.

You authors and your five dollar words.

  3. “This is Ghlaghghee looking at Zeus as he lounges with the bears”

I read this before paging down and seeing that the “bears” in question were stuffed plush animals.

So my initial thought was “Scalzi brought bears home to his house?”

The scary part is that the idea has a certain degree of believability.

I will not even speculate on what he might be trying to tape to the bears.

I will say, however, that “FIVE GRIZ-Z-Z-Z-ZLY BEAR-R-R-R-S!” would make a fine line for an alternate version of “Twelve Days of Christmas”.

  4. Ghlaghghee’s blue eyes and cream portions match the background so delightfully that I am almost tempted to suspect Mr Scalzi of positioning her there on purpose.

  5. Never mind Ghlaghghee’s “You’ve got to be f*cking kidding me” expression: there’s a disguised triffid sneaking up on her! Run, Ghlaghghee! Run for your life!

  6. John, how are you getting that cool soft focus (both with Ghlaghghee and with Lopsided Cat)? Are you using a lens filter or are you adding it in Photoshop? (Or do they just naturally radiate like that?)

  7. Man, I wish I could have plants dribbling all over like that and not have my cat mow them down (and then puke all over everything)!
