Like a lovely three-act play. Or a simple story arc. Nice!
Beautiful pics!
You are so luck to have caught that lightning! I have tried with very little luck.
It’s much prettier than the average 3-panel webcomic, but frankly I don’t find the punchline funny at all.
Is it wrong that I initially didn’t see a rainbow in the third panel, but rather the explosion caused by the lightning strike in the second panel?
@Rob K: I thought the same thing.
Ooh – look close at the third panel, I see two rainbows! (or maybe it’s just my Monday morning caffeine binge…)
Mr Scalzi, what camera do you use?
Rob K and Chris.
It’s not just you.
3rd panel = shock wave
Sara: Have your camera on a tripod. Set it to a long exposure— I have a point-and-shoot that has a “fireworks” mode. Keep hitting the button and hope you get lucky. I took about seventy shots to get those nine with lightning, with a decent number of bolts going on.
This is why digital is so cool. You can just discard the empty shots.
