Not Even Pretending I Didn’t Photoshop the Hell Out of This Sunset

Although given the end result it might be more accurate to say I Photoshopped the Hell into it. The structure of the clouds is accurate at the very least; I just bumped up the contrast and the saturation so you could see them better.
Where are the badger armies?
You don’t see the badger armies until they are upon you. That’s what makes them badger armies. Well, that and being comprised of badgers.
That’s brilliant, I love it! Really dystopian ^_^
And now I have the badger badger song stuck in my head with visions of demonically possessed, armored badgers marching on Los Angeles. Damn you Scalzi! Damn you to… PhotoShop!
Yeah, that’s nice.
Any chance we can get a link to a hi-res version? I’d love to add that to my rotating wallpaper…
Fantastic, John!
Sauron always did enjoy decorating for the holidays.
Badger armies headed by wolverines with burning red eyes that murder the landscape before them.
Bellona?
Los Angeles… 2019
Cue Vangelis music.
That seems cool but it is a small image – can you give us a link to a big one on flickr or something like that so we can give it the admiration it deserves?
Wow. Did someone nuke Indianapolis? Or did that reactor at Purdue finally give up the ghost?
Damn!
And just when did you get the chance to visit Gallifrey?
Those silicate vapors really clean out the sinuses…and the eye sockets, and the cranial cavity…
You know the expression “I don’t know much about Art, but I know what I like?”
I like that.
You know how people say “I can’t define Art, but I know it when I see it?”
That’s Art, man. I’d buy an art print of that, frame it under glass, and hang it over my bed…if I had a job. Maybe when I do.
Now we know who your Congressman had to make a deal with to get to be the next Speaker of the House.
Dr. Phil
That needs a caption.
“One does not simply walk in to Ohio. There are badgers there that do not sleep.”
#19 I think I love you.
Awesome picture. This looks much like the sky I envision at the end of my NaNovel, when I type the last limping characters.
Ditto on desiring a hi-res image for wallpaper. And maybe for photo-shopping a superimposed pic of devil-Scalzi over the background…
I thought for a moment that the guys from the creation museum finally caught up with you…
That’s crazy, looks like something out of a star trek episode (but not with the b-movie quality).
Adding my virtual voice to the digital cry for a wallpaper-sized version of this.
It’s on flickr, original size is 2048×1362. It makes a nice desktop background on my laptop.

Enjoy!
Love it very much! It is definitely very artistic!
Desktop wallpaper?!
I want a *poster*!
I am completely serious; that is *beautiful*! :-)
