Here, Have a Cat

And some flowers, too. Because both are nice. Unless you have allergies to one or both. In which case, you’re probably already sneezing. Sorry about that.

Back to the word mines for me.

Thanks, John. I feel foolishly compelled to tell you that I’m currently temping for your publisher and was just updating your author bio for their website, as I was told to do, and noticed that the bio called this site “The Whatever.”

And that ALL of the editorial copy did the same thing. It was an infestation!

So I just finished going through every single bit of copy that I’m authorized to change, removing “The” from every reference to Whatever. Yes, I feel better now.

Allergic to both.

Love pic anyway.

And would probably smell flowers and cuddle cat in flagrant defiance of my better judgement.

Flowers might be more amenable to said treatment, however.

I, too, am deathly allergic to cats. But not to cats on the internet!! On the internet, the cats don’t know I’m allergic! Virtual cats are nothing to sneeze at.

On topic, my wife has allergies that include cat fur. So we can no longer have any. But our two dogs seem to be fine with the arrangement. Also, cats are not the only pets that “have you” rather than you having them. I speak from experience in these matters.

O Great Scalzi, what a superb picture of Her Most Glorious Shimmering Radiant Perfection.

While it is far from your best work (and with your history, that is a pretty low bar) it warrants some sort of formal acknowledgment from the Executive Committee. A Seal of Approval Award is simply out of the question, so we have come up with new prize more suited to your abilities.

Perhaps one day you will be able to earn another coveted Seal of Approval Award.

In the meantime, the Executive Committee, on its own authority, not believing it worth calling The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club to order, hereby creates and awards you the first ever

The Executive Committee Nod of Barely Suppressed Disdain and Disappointment
valid from 21 July 2011 to 22 July 2011

The Official Ghlaghghee Fan Club

PS – Mike@21, while you can hardly go wrong accusing Blacklisted Scalzi of excess Photoshoppery, in this case he is innocent. The color saturation is clearly due to Her Beauteous Radiance.
