Look, people: When the stores kept putting up the Christmas decorations before Halloween, what did you think was going to happen?
(Picture from here.)
So we should get the stores to put out swimwear and 4th of july decorations before Easter?
I adore you.
(12-14″ at my house, no electricity.)
Next: dogs and cats living together (because it’s warmer that way).
Not snowing here in Georgia (yet!), but it was damn cold this morning.
At least we will get the bad driving during the first snow storms out of the way early. Right??
Peter: I admire your optimism.
I moved from Northern Minnesota to California, so I’ve never gotten over the idea that trick or treating in the snow is the normal state of things in the midwest.
Is this a picture of kids trick-or-treating or of the band Immortal?
That is the best idea ever. Thank you for making my day :-)
More proof, that global climate change is actually caused by aggressive marketing campaigns during the holiday season!
Wow. I feel kind of guilty now. I bought two Christmas ornaments today. They are owls and pretty darn cute, but still.
A gradual zombification of elves and reindeer, as Halloween approached, of course.
So I see The Penguin was successful.
So far my part of Canada remains snow free: it’s been a nice sunny afternoon here. (Sorry, I missed the morning completely)
Tim, I think its Immortal trick-or-treating…
I remember trick-or-treating in the snow at least once in the early 1960s in St. Louis, back when holiday decoration creep never occurred. I wonder what um…precipitated…those storms?
In my early years ’round these parts, Halloween costumes were usually of the “Yoda in a winter-coat” variety. Are those *umbrellas* I see?
