Having a great time. Wish you were here.
Well, maybe not all of you. That would be hard on the lawn.

Arrrgh. Get off my lawn!!!
Thank you for the invite but as crazy as it seems like our lack of seasons here in Florida.
We will try not to screw up the elections.
The leaves are starting to change in Illinois as well. I can’t wait for the full spectrum of colors. I love autumn in the midwest. Much more beautiful than my native Florida this time of year.
Beautiful picture! :-)
It’s due to be about 100 dF here in Southern California tomorrow. A little autumn would be nice about now; too bad it won’t start until January.
so, did you have to reseed the lawn after the horrible summer that we had???
Today was freezing here: 78? But we had rain and its wet inside so the air is on. I WISH my lawn looked like that, but the trees are flowering and green.
Elaine in Ohio:
There are definitely dead patches on our lawn that we’ll have to reseed.
What if we each brought a nice dish of something, pot-luck style? I can bring some watermelon & fruit…
I think it’s supposed to be 104 degrees tomorrow. What I wouldn’t do for cooler weather and a few trees with turning leaves. Isn’t it fall already? I want fall to start right now. I guess I just have to imagine and look at your picture again.
You could probably just rope off certain sections of the lawn and we could all still come over.
John – We’re on our way! What can we bring? 8-{D
Despite the fact that we are tinder dry MN is having a gorgeous fall. Perfect temps, glorious blue skys and trees in their autumnal glory. If it all doesn’t go up like a roman candle before it snows it will be perfect for us humans if not so great for the plants
Nice, cool, very-slightly-drizzly lazy Sunday here in Austin. And boy-o-boy do we need the rain.
Cloudy but beautifully cool here in Houston. The summer wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but I’m glad to see the end of it.
San Antonio, here. Texasperation is over!
That lawn is really, impressively green. What kind of grass is that? Are you using a special lawn care regimen? I’m in awe.
These are the times that make me miss Ohio…Then I remember that I’m on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains in Knoxville, Tennessee!!!!
Best time of the year. Even the drive home from work is an art show.
