  1. It’s so beautiful to see a person so in love with his spouse for so long. I’ve been married a wee six months, and your happiness is my goal. Cheers to you Mr. Scalzi.

  2. This gets me right in the feels… being missed is such a wonderful thing.

  3. I’ll second that: You’re a lucky man. It’s nice to be selfishly single, but it’s also nice to have someone love you as much as she obviously does.

  4. photographically speaking, by overexposing her face, her skin washed out, drawing the attention to her eye and mouth. And you placed her eye right on the intersection of a “rule of thirds” point. Her lips are also fairly close to the rule of thirds line at the bottom. And her pose is head down, slightly tilted to the side.

    magnifique!

  5. The very best thing about Himself is not his writing, but the fact that he is a solid family man and absolutely adores his wife. Frankly, he could be a crappy writer and this other part would him an admirable man.

This is one of those posts that makes me want to thank you for sharing your life with us all.

The connection with a favorite author is a very real one for the reader. It is intimate, personal and . . . historically one way. The way you use this blog to share yourself with us is very meaningful and wonderful. Sure, it is still one way, but I makes us feel like we know you and share your life with you.

We get to root for you when you succeed and taste a little bit of the hard work you put in when faced with a deadline. You are also a good example that I really appreciate. Thanks so very much.
