I know! It’s too early to be messing with you like this! Yet here I am doing it. It’s because I’m a bad man. Just so that’s out there.
This is a GREAT photo.
I’ll just pretend it’s a sunrise, because that’s still happening here. (Beautiful!)
Yeah, like we didn’t already know you’re a bad man. But, dang! That’s gorgeous and well with the mind-messing.
what kind of camera/lense do you use again? Your shots are always ridiculously gorgeous.
This one was taken with my Nikon 5100 with the 18-55mm lens it came with, with the RAW file cleaned up in Photoshop and the outputted jpeg filtered through Camerabag 2.
Ben Franklin might question whether it was a sunset or sunrise….
You ain’t messin’ wit’ my head none. It’s midnight here in Australia.
He is seriously messing with my timeline! I just had lunch!
O my god I am so confused!
That is a BEAUTIFUL picture. Thanks for sharing! (Even if you are trying to mess with our heads!)
I just thought you were having a really colorful dawn!
Gorgeous pic, as always! :-)
(chemtrails and all . . .)
Joke’s on you. The sun just set here in the Sandbox.
You kinda suck at being bad.
Love that bad plaid sky.
Sun is setting here (Germany), I’m fine with the picture… :)
Dude, it’s never the wrong time to post beautiful pix!
You are, indeed, a bad, bad man. You’re making me want to get out and shoot while I’m stuck here working.
That is absolutely gorgeous. It almost looks like a painting!
you would have seen the sunset/sunrise this morning over Mt. Hood, had high clouds but clear below, so the sun was rising under the clouds, they in turn looked like ripples of red lava surounding the mountian…it was beautiful!
My cup of “tastes of ass” has given me a bonus against being confused by your pernicious behavior.
Also, that’s a damn fine picture.
I’m going to pretend it’s from an alien world tidally locked to its local star, taken in that tiny habitable band in permanent twilight. After all, Mr. Scalzi has been traveling a LOT.
That is one super cool pic. Congrats.
The pics you post leap off the screen. Is there no other photoshop work going on? color balancing, chomo stretch, etc?
They make Ohio look like Eden.
The sky is beautiful on planet Ohio.
That is an amazing photo. Are those natural cloud formations or due to aircraft?
I might be more confused if I hadn’t been working the midnight 12 hour shift. Instead, it makes an odd kind of sense…
I cannot convince my brain that that is not handpainted silk satin that was recently unfolded and showing creases.
I like sunsets better than sunrises. (1) The weather is better, (2) I’m more awake to enjoy them, and (3) there are fewer obnoxious morning people around.
Just how can one tell the difference between sunrise and sunset from a picture? Other than there are fewer sunrise pictures because not as many people are awake for it. Beautiful picture – thanks for sharing.
Hey John, have you check out these “hyper-photos” by Jean-Francois Rauzier? I spent an hour just looking at these fascinating pics.
Huh, not sure why the link didn’t work. Here it is again. I used Preview this time and it went to the site fine.
Ah. Great pic. And thanks for a timely sunset picture as I get to bed. Third shift hours being good at leading to confusion all by themselves, most days.
