My Friend Deven the Talking Head

Hey, look! It’s my very good friend Deven Desai appearing on Pivot’s TakePart Live program yesterday. Deven was using his knowledge as a professor of law (and former Google person) to discuss issues of privacy and the Internet, and he did a very fine job, if I do say so myself. Here’s a clip, with Deven commenting at about the 1:40 mark:

It’s very cool to see friends being recognized for their expert skills; Deven’s been thinking about privacy and Internet stuff for a while now and has both the academic and private sector experience to walk the walk. When he opens his mouth on this subject he’s got something to say — which, if you’re going to go on TV and blather, is an admirable trait. Hopefully this will just be the first of many appearances, on Pivot as well as elsewhere.
Way to go, Deven!
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to look this over. An interesting topic, no doubt.
I will have to check this out. It is an important topic.
thanks for this link john.
Aaaaand now it’s in my head again. Thanks John. “Deven Desai, Deven Desai, every single one of us is Deven Desai…”
I love Deven Desai. I will forever be indebted to him. That’s because he also happens to be friends with one of my favorite professors from law school, and somehow used his connections to network me into my current job, which I love even more than I love cookies and polka dots.
Great to see Deven again . . . and to hear his voice! I enjoyed the topic as well. Love you, Mom
Howdy! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice
from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog?
I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.
I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure
where to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
Appreciate it
