  1. I’ll third Mary Beth’s opinion.

In fact, it probably is a space ship! Where else does John get his ideas? The OMW universe? IT’S ALL REAL!

  2. This reminds of being annoyed a few years back when Hilde and I visited the aquarium at the Albuquerque Biopark. I had my good camera with me, the Mavica that used mini-CDs as a storage medium, and I got some really good shots of their jellyfish tanks. That, of course, was the only time when one of the mini-CDs later decided, “Oh, hey, I’d going to SELF-DESTRUCT and you’ll never — NEVER! — be able to recover those photos you wanted to keep, BWAA-HA-HA-HA!!!”

(The Biopark is well worth visiting if you’re ever in Albuquerque. Also the Natural History museum there.)

  3. Which reminds me: The Bipark’s gift shop had plushie versions of jellyfish in their gift shop. Really cute, but I couldn’t help thinking that leading kids to think of jellyfish as “cuddly” was probably a bad idea.

  4. Picture is great. North Carolina has a nice acquarium on the barrier island Emerald Isle, you can pet little rays…

I’m getting an email for every post, somehow… perhaps you can fix that for me John? Sorry for the hassle!
