Hey, It’s Christmas!

And the whole clan here wishes you a merry day today, however you celebrate it (and even if you don’t celebrate it at all). Enjoy your time with family and friends. Eat a ridiculous amount of food. Sleep in! And so on.

  1. Merry Christmas to you too! Being from Denmark, we celebrated on Dec. 24th in the evening – as is tradition is here – but we did consume a ridicolous amount of food, candy and good drinks and we had a generally merry time!

  2. Yep, Athena’s a teenager alright. Everyone else has the fake smile for photos; she’s got the “why are we doing this?” look.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, John. Thank you for many, many hours of entertainment in the past year.

  3. Merry Christmas to all (or insert holiday of choice). Looking forward to the sleeping in portion some day but enjoying the excitement of the little kids.
But let the food consumption commence!

  4. Who’s that at the back doing the showgirl bit? If I’m allowed to ask (where “no” is a perfectly cromulent answer)?

Also, Merry Holiday(s) to you and yours, Mr. Scalzi. Let us know when we get to the part where we prove you’re the richest man in town. :)

  5. Merry Christmas to Christians and everyone who acts like they are for Christmas! And people who celebrate with other people because other people are celebrating, like me!

  6. Alas, someone has to COOK that ridiculous amount of food, so here I am, up at the crack of noon.

  7. Merry Christmas! As far as clans go, that one is pretty reasonable in size. I just got back from one 3 times as big and that was the smaller side of the family…

  8. And not a single cat to be seen in the photo. Imagine that. The dog, on the other hand, is perfectly happy to join in the party.

  9. Merry Christmas to you and your family and thanks for the many hours of enjoyment I got from reading your books this year!

  10. Wait, what? It’s Christmas!?
Not really but kinda: Oh, a card from A. Hey, that isn’t A’s hand wri — Oh, son of, oh cra, oh, where are those Christmas cards! … Oh good, I do have enough stamps, “Cars” stamps aren’t ideal for XM cards, but they’ll get’em there. –ting. Oh, right. A. is now married to A. and not J. and of course A. got A. to send the cards. Wish I coulda.
Anyway, Happy merriness and merry happiness to all and to all and some kind of chess move involving a good knight.

  11. [Deleted because contentless assertion which I know not to be true. Dunder, you need to do better than that. – JS]
