All best to you, Dear Host, on your birthday; and all best also to your mother-in-law with her new pup. I was wondering what his name was. Thanks for letting us know. And happy birthday to you. Please tell your daughter that she took a good picture of you. good grief, Roscoe looks so much like my “nephew” Otis when he was a puppy. Did you get him from a breeder in New Jersey? If you’re curious, here’s a link to 2 pics. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152396307979269.1073741826.575799268&type=1&l=51a46d6914 My only possible comment is “Awwwwww, puppy!” (Also, happy birthday.) (And when did it happen that the authors I’m reading are, more or less, a generation or more *younger* than I am than older? *wry*) Are you ABSOLUTELY sure he’s not an Ewok? I didn’t say Happy Birthday to you, but now I have this adorable picture. Will you accept thank you and happy b-day? Just one small caveat; he needs hiding lessons from Daisy.. Happy Birthday, John! And welcome to Whateverland, Roscoe!!! Happy birthday! And, is this a new thing, where you get your mother-in-law a puppy for…your…birthday? What do Daisy and the cats think of him? I don’t care what you say, he is a baby Ewok. It is obvious. You just want to throw us off the scent. I would say that he looked like a teddy bear, except that he’s a lot cuter than a teddy bear. He does look surprisingly like a baby Ewok. More like a baby wookie to me! Hey, it’s the little Ewok baby, Roscoe! Woohoo! Funny, everyone else goes straight to Starwars and Roscoe’s possible alien origin. Me? My brain went straight to Sherriff Roscoe P. Coltrane! (I can freaking hear it in my head) I’m not sure what this says about my fellow commenters. I’m too bust wondering what that says about me. Aaaaaaawwwwwww!!!!!!! *melts* @Rembrant He doesn’t look much like Roscoe P. Coltrane (yes, I hear it in my head too) but it wouldn’t be the worst thing if he turns out to have a similar personality. How old are they before Ewoks stand up? Lil’ Chewie! I have a dog named Roscoe too! Roscoe is the name we use when reserving a table at restaurants. One, because we get humorous looks when the name is called out and two, the odds of someone else being name Roscoe are puny. Your MIL’s Roscoe and my Roscoe should avoid the same eateries. Made the NYT crossword: lion dog! I like how he looks like he’s going Very Fast, but is probably Standing Still. (I’m channeling A. A. Milne today.) Comments are closed.
