I looked through the June edition of Locus magazine and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I’m on top of two of their best seller lists this month: The Mass Market Paperback list for The Human Division, and the Trade Paperback list for Redshirts. It’s lovely when that happens.
I was also happy to discover that Lock In was recommended as a summer read by both iBooks and by the Los Angeles Times, and that Tor had put in a nice big ad in the latter, which featured the book as well:
There are far worse ways to start a Monday, I have to say.
congrats!
I’m glad you got some good news after Jay’s passing. I lost my father a little over 2 weeks ago to cancer and I’m still looking for something to turn the tide.
Picked up Lock In at BEA and read it that day. Enjoyed it very much and heartily handsold it to the librarian on the shuttle next to me that afternoon.
WTG, Scalzi! :)
One of these days you really *are* going to be famous :)! WTG
