Wow, the Day Got Past Me and I Have Nothing Interesting to Say, So Here’s a Video of a Song I Like From 1989

It’s called “Old Beach Road,” from Martha’s Vineyard, a somewhat obscure band from Australia. If you like Fairground Attraction, you’ll like this one (if you like early Crowded House, you might like this as well, too). I tried to set it so you can miss the annoying (and not part of the song) countdown at the beginning of the video, but if it doesn’t work, the song itself starts at ten seconds in.
Aaaaaand apparently that’s all I’ve got for you this Thursday. How are you?
Not generally my cup of tea, yet a refreshing break from the monotony of my day.
Writing proposals, so brain-melty.
I’m well. Thanks for asking.

Give a listen to Slaid Cleaves, from Austin, TX. You may enjoy this song.
I can relate. Been teaching a class for the past two weeks (N.B.: I am NOT a teacher by trade) and at this point I think my brains are leaking out of my ears. Thank heavens tomorrow is the certification exam and I don’t need to do anything but proctor it. My yapper is ready for a rest.
that is so amazing my friend, I look forward to seeing great stuff from you
Hey John, Nice to hear that you listen to some Aussie music. Does it have much penetration over there? Also, when are you coming to Perth for the convention? Hope your book tour around America went well.
Thanks so much for this. A friend of mine used to make mix CDs of Australian bands so often that we all called her (and she called herself) the Australian Music Pusher. I don’t think this was one of the bands on her CDs, and now I have a new band to look up.
