In which I discuss Lock In, writing near-future science fiction and other such topics. Check it out here.
Reblogged this on Beechdey’s Weblog.
Lock In is different from a typical near-future novel because of the disease that causes the lock in. It removes the story an additional step from reality. That then gives you the freedom to explore issues we currently face (while also telling a good detective story). It is a big what if that helps get you thinking.
Lovely interview, I enjoyed it
Any chance they could edit it to get Charlie Stross’s name right?
