Humble Subterranean Press Bundle: Pay What You Want For a Lot of Great Stuff

Most of you know that I do a lot of work with Subterranean Press, because they do an excellent job with my limited and/or off-the-wall projects. They are some of my favorite people to work with, and I’m not alone in this assessment: some of the best authors in science fiction and fantasy work with them, creating some amazing books.
Now you can get in on some of that for a very affordable price: SubPress is working with the Humble Bundle folks and has created a very excellent SubPress eBook bundle. Who is in the bundle? Well, for any price, you get:
- Peter Brett
- Harlan Ellison
- Caitlin Kiernan
- Cherie Priest
- Dan Simmons
- Connie Willis
- Jack Vance
Kick in more than the average amount for the bundle, and you also get:
- Kelly Armstrong
- Clive Barker
- Ted Chiang
- Maria Dahvana Headley and Kat Howard
- Barry Hughart
- Tim Powers
- John Scalzi (hi!)
And if you pay more than $15, you also get:
- Joe Lansdale
- Robert McCammon
- K.J. Parker
Basically, that’s a whole lot of excellent reading, from fantastic authors. Pay what you want, get everything you pay for completely DRM-free. And in doing so, you’ll also help out the Worldbuilders charity, as a cut of the proceeds goes to that.
Go get it now: Great authors, a great charity and a great value. This is totally worth your time and money. And tell your friends about it too — this bundle won’t be around forever.
Hmmm, today is my birthday. I might just have to treat myself to this.
Thank you for the heads-up, I now have even more peaks in mountain range To Be Read to scale. :-)
The last link in the post goes to the Worldbuilders site & I’m not seeing the bundle for sale from there. Perhaps you meant that to link to the Humble Bundle site?
You had me at Priest.
Jon:
Fixed.
Thank you so much for the heads up; at last I’ve got my hands on Master Li and the Number 10 Ox. Having been incarcerated in hospital twice in the last fortnight I felt I could treat myself, and benefitting a charity is definitely icing on the cake…
Wait … there was more Master Li and Number 10 Ox after “Bridge of Birds”?
WHY WAS I NOT TOLD?
Surprise!
Ha! I read my email before coming here, so mine is already bought.
I just wanted to thank you for posting about this. I haven’t found a way to get Humble Bundle notifications for book bundles only (I’m not a gamer), so I fear I may miss some of them.
So I really appreciate the info – thanks!

I sure wish they had continued with Ellison’s Edgeworks series.
And I just logged on to Amazon and realized I’m like four months behind on both F&SF and Asimov’s. I am become my father.
@Kristi – I’m pretty sure I get both, but that may be because I’ve bought both games and books through them. I’ll have a look. OK – their login dialog is hanging, but if you go to the “Books Bundle” tab, there’s a space to fill in your email address and subscribe. That looks to me to be the place to sign up for book notifications.
Just bought mine. I was initially confused by the Humble tip section at first, because I though it was another charity. I goggled it and discovered its the name of a christian rapper. Why are they giving him money?, I thought. Then I actually read the website and it made sense.
And I was just complaining that my ereader was in need of filling… Not any more!
The Barry Hughart is worth the price of admission alone, and the Jack Black Hat book looks intriguing.

Nabbed it! I love Humble Bundle and Story Bundle for great collections of ebooks. Too bad that I already have the Scalzi book in this collection, but still worth the “pay over the average” price to get the others!
I bought the bundle. It’s a great collection, but the books don’t open on my Kindle and Humble support haven’t answered any of my requests for assistance. Anyone know an actual email address for them? Or a telephone number?
