Beats (which means Apple) has created a page which lets you create your own album cover based on the artwork for Straight Outta Compton, the upcoming film about NWA, and one presumes also their debut album.
So, yeah, I played with it.
Yup. Life in the 45308, y’all.
That’s it for today. Have lots of stuff to do this weekend. Hope you enjoy yours.
Rock on, y’all!
That……is just too cool.
That just seems so weird to see my last name used this way lol…
I didn’t realize the N in NWA stood for “novelist”…
This is awesome in too many ways. :D
Those were nice, as were these:
I love the juxtaposition between the harsh title and the laid back mowing scene.
I thought the Beloved Weird Al Yankovic already made the definitive statement on that with his own album titled “Straight Outta Lynwood” (which if you’ve ever been IN Lynwood, you would know is one of the 7 funniest things he’s ever done). And yet, subtle. If he’d wanted to do an OBVIOUS L.A. suburb, he could’ve done “Straight Outta Burbank” or “Straight Outta Pasadena” (which, since I have lived and/or worked in both places, I can say would have been close to perfect too – but Lynwood: PERFECT)
Please don’t forget the magnificent Mr B’s version

Giggle. I don’t think I have any photos suitable for use in this, but I’ll poke around the hard drive.
The lawnmower is the best.
“They see him mowin’ / His front lawn
You know they’re all thinking / he’s so White N’ nerdy”…
Like ’em all. The one with Athena is my favorite.
Athena looks charmingly like all the wonderful parts of a young Janis Joplin. Probably the hair, but the expression helps.
Totally silly. Yes, I am: http://www.rogerogreen.com/2015/08/14/straight-out-of-somewhere-in-upstate-new-york/
