It’s Been a Busy Day at the Scalzi Compound and I Have an Event Tonight So In Lieu of Actual Words, Please Accept This Picture of a Cat

I imagine this will be pleasing to the large majority of you.

And remember, if you are in or near the Dayton area: Tonight! Books & Company at the Greene. 7pm. Be there! Because I will be, and I don’t want to be alone.

Helloooo, Zeus! He doesn’t seem pleased by the photo.

  2. Katherine Jay – Katherine Jay was born and raised in England before fleeing to Canada, where she lives in a wind-swept house with two cats and too many books. In her spare time, she reads, writes, and watches good SFF and terrible disaster movies. She can be found on Twitter @stompydragons.

    Cat pictures are always acceptable!

  3. Donna Leonard – Southern California – I like to write, read, knit, crochet, watch movies, watch way too much television, listen to music and play Drawsomething 2 somewhat obsessively, not necessarily in that order. You can find my irregular blog at: 3 kids: Twenty-three-year-old boy/girl twins, and a thirteen-year-old girl. 3 cats: fourteen-year-old female, three-year-old female, and a two-year-old male

I showed this to my daughter, Ceana (she wanted you to talk about Daisy at The Last Bookstore). She nodded and said, “I accept that.”

  4. Kenny – Folkestone United Kingdom – Gravatar runs alongside my Wordpress blog about life at college and studying the automotive industry. See you over on the college blog /// @ . Kenny

    Lazy cat pic accepted !

  5. Jay – New Bern, NC – INGREDIENTS: coffee, books, music, podcasts, NPR, cats, movies, the Oxford comma, and Netflix - - - WARNING: may contain nuts - - - MADE IN THE USA

Smokey has tried to enter the screen; photo accepted!

  6. It’s really hard to capture the annoyed rolling of eyes in a still photo. I would never have expected it with a cat, but somehow you’ve done it.

  7. JunkChuck – Westsylvania, PA, USA – Native, Militant Westsylvanian (the first last best place), laborer, gardener, and literary hobbyist (if by literary you mean "hack"). I've had a bunch of different blogs, probably four, due to a recurring compulsion to start over. This incarnation owes to a desire to dredge up the best entries of the worst little book of hand-scrawled poems I could ever dream of writing, salvageable excerpts from fiction both in progress and long-abandoned. and a smattering of whatever the hell seems to fit at any particular moment. At first blush, I was here just to focus on old, terrible verse, but I reserve the right to include...anything. Maybe everything, certainly my love of pulp novels, growing garlic, the Pittsburgh Steelers and howling at the moon--both figuratively and, on rare occasions, literally.

A cat will suffice. For now. In terms of words, you’ve built up a little bit of credit on account.

  8. Do you know where I moved from literally a year ago today? Dayton. Where am I now? Alaska. *sighs* Sorry I missed you; I guarantee I would have been there had I been able.

That is a pleasing cat picture, though.
