  1. May as well go back to bed; my son has opened his presents already, so between that and this picture, I’m pretty sure I’ve hit Peak Christmas already.

  2. We do our family gift exchange on Christmas Eve night. I gave my youngest son a copy of “Lock In” and haven’t seen him since. Thanks a lot, Scalzi. Home wrecker! ;-)

  3. That’s nice. Looks warm and comfy.

I’m surprised they’re not climbing the tree, batting around the ornaments and drinking the water. I’m going to imagine they did that already and are knackered.

  4. Merry Kittenmas to your family, bipeds and quads alike.

  5. Look at it from the kittens’ point of view: you bring a tree inside, you hang all sorts of sparkly cat toys on it to dangle fetchingly, and then you tell a cat not to touch it? How cruel is that?

  6. They look more interested in the nice blankey-thing. At least the one does: the other has purrfected the art of the purrfect nap — lay on your sister while doing so.

  7. “May your day be merry and bright.”

… and may all your kitten paws be white. :)

Abundant blessings to you and yours for the new year, John. Your blog and Twitter and YouTube channel (except for that last one, the terrifying existential horror!) keep me smiling, entertained, and well informed all year long. I regularly regale my husband and adult children with “you gotta see what Scalzi did!”.

    Thank you.

Awwww – nothing more to say than that, Scalzi.

Hope your family had a great holiday – four and two legger alike.

  9. Oh, heck, that’s cute. Merry Christmas! — Many thanks for all the fun and thinkingness of this blog. Oh, and the cool cute pets too. Of course.
