  1. So John, what do you do with all these books?

Do you have the most amazing library collection of recent sci-fi and fantasy in your basement?

I’m jealous at the thought of all those wonderful Subterranean Press books in the same place…

  2. Morning Star…it’s difficult to see what Pierce Brown can do to top Red Rising and Golden Son, but I’m looking forward to finding out.

  3. stillmorewords – Small-town girl, living in a big city. Former Coastie, married with 2 kids. Inveterate reader of all genres, though non-fiction and YA currently rule. Indie bookstore employee, small business owner, tea drinker.
    Beth C.

Morning Star…have loved that series since I reviewed an ARC of Red Rising.

  4. kirizar – Michigan – I am all things to all people. As long as people are looking for a mom with diverse interests and a homebound tendency to look through the window of life and wish (or imagine) something just a little bit different. I am like the Tardis on Doctor Who. I am much bigger on the inside.

I’m always intrigued by titles first–so I am curious about Highly Illogical Behavior. (That might be my Spock fetish talking though.)

  5. @Pam Adams – I’ve already read it twice. Now I have to go back and re-read all the Miles books to search for hints.

Several of these now on reserve at the library…

  6. Do you usually get non-SF YA stuff? We just got Peas And Carrots at my library, and it looks good, but I had to double check that it doesn’t have aliens or mutants or whatnot like half the other stuff we got in. And I had to look up Highly Illogical Behavior and it appears to be just a classic “Girl loves boyfriend, girl meets agoraphobic boy, girl wants to use agoraphobic boy to get into good college” story.

  7. I can’t tell what THE BOOK OF MAGIC is, who it’s by, or who published it. The spine is very nice-looking, but does anyone know what this is?!

  8. Alex.: Thanks! Yeah that looks like it! Interesting – not at all what I was thinking it would be, but it looks interesting.

  9. amandageddon – She is a slacker of the highest order, a geek of not so much, went back to school to become an even bigger geek and possibly get paid for it. She loves it when a plan comes together.

Morning Star! I inhaled Red Rising and Golden Son, and was cranky when I found I had to wait for book three.

  10. I love to read and I like all kinds of books and these sound soooo good. Seeing as I’m only in middle school. Books are my life!
