Ooooooh. Both LeGuin books, and the Nisi Shawl.
Agreed! The LeGuin books look terrific.
I bought “Making Conversation” by Teresa Nielsen Hayden at WorldCon and am about 2/3 of the way through it – it is excellent, highly recommended.
Will definitely watch for Nisi’s newest one at the bookstore, too.
I believe that the LeGuin’s are reissues of books previously published by Small Beer in the States and Gollancz in the UK.
The LeGuins
I don’t know anything about it, but the title of A Shadow Bright and Burning caught my eye.
The Odds Of Loving Grover Cleveland.
Excellent title.
I bought “Making Conversation” by Teresa Nielsen Hayden at WorldCon KC and am looking forward to reading it, as soon as I finish the book on Vikings I also bought there.
I think this is the first set of these I have seen where the women authors outnumber the men.
Both Everfair and Making Conversation look interesting.
Cat Rambo!
A Shadow Bright And Burning has such an interesting title, that it was the first book I was drawn to, so I’d have to say I’m most interested in finding out more (and potentially reading) that one. Followed by A Riddle In Ruby and Neither Here Nor There, both for their interesting titles.
LeGuin.
That is an awesome haul of books. I am envious of the Haikasoru book, the Cat Rambo (big fan of her short fiction), the Nisi Shawl, the Emmi Itaranta, and the LeGuins.
I love the spines and text treatment on those heft LeGuin books. Nice.
Those LeGuins look pretty sweet.
Would it be gauche of me to recommend the Keystone Chronicles anthology just because I have a story in it…?
