Dig the Cover to the French Edition of The End of All Things

That’s pretty damn nifty, if I do say so myself. The art is by David Demaret, who has clearly read the book. If you read French, it’s coming out on the 23rd of February in 2017. Look for it then.

Yeah what Shrike58 said! It’s my favorite Scalzi cover so far. Are you ever able to contact the artist when you want to purchase the original work? I know nothing of the world of successful authors.

Herbie, Shrike58:

I suspect the original in this case is a computer file. I do own the originals of three covers: Both the hardcover and paperback covers of Old Man’s War (by Donato Giancola and John Harris, respectively), and the cover of the French version of Agent to the Stars, by Paul Kidby. I also have a limited print of the cover of The God Engines, by Vincent Chong, and another small illustration from Harris of one of the digital covers for the Human Division individual episodes. Generally I contact either the artist or their agents. Note: Original artwork isn’t cheap, even for the authors whose covers the artwork graces.
