Already the last weekend of February — yikes! Fortunately here is a fine stack of new books and ARCs to help ease us into March. What here would you want to read next? Tell us in the comments!
OMG! Chalk! I’ve had that pre-ordered for ages. I adore Paul. Cannot wait to get my mitts on my own (virtual e-) copy of it!
I would love to read anything by Scott Sigler.
Great haul!
And you’re right, February flew by.
I want CHALK.
I like Paul Cornell but even knowing nothing else other than the title, I’ve got to go with Prophets of the Ghost Ants.
_Assassin’s Fate_ (that one’s getting pre-ordered). (The last time I got to one of her signings, I took _The Inheritance and Other Stories_, got it signed by Robin Hobb and Megan Lindholm, which seemed to amuse her…)
The Bones of the Past stands out from the others!
Eagle and Empire, that’d be the third book in the Roman Legion comes to North America series begun in Clash of Eagles. It’s Turtledove-ish. I liked the first one more than I thought I would, and the second one was also entertaining. But I’m a sucker for alternate history and historical fiction of all kinds. Will probably check out number 3 when it comes to my library.
Chalk & The Idiot. I like the titles.
@Molly, I like “Chalk and The Idiot” as a title.
I’ve pre-ordered Pilot X from Inkshares (Sword & Laser fan here). Pretty excited about that one.
Batuman’s ‘The Possessed’ was hilariously entertaining, so I’m really interested in ‘The Idiot’.
I must’ve been staring at my bookshelves too long, because I don’t recognize a title or author in this stack–yikes! That’s what I get for hoarding and not reading–no room for new stuff (frantically starts work wittling the shelves down)
Prophets of the Ghost Ants. That is a cool title. I’d like to read that book.
I’m rather impatiently waiting for Paul Cornell’s Chalk, myself.
Yeah, Prophets of the Ghost Ants is a great title. My biggest complaint is that now I can’t use it for my rock band! :D
