The Black Wolves of Boston is an excellent modern fantasy from Wen Spencer.

I’m not as excited as Steve about Grantville Gazette VIII, except for the (I hope) new Eric Flint story. (I’ve just finished GG#77 in the electronic version!)

And I don’t recognise anything else, except Brothers in Arms, of course.

i skimmed an excerpt of Wen Spencers THE BLACK WOLVES OF BOSTON a little while ago and it intrigued me, so it’s on my list to read the excerpt more thoroughly & possibly buy. Victor Godinez’s THE FIRST PROTECTORS sounds groovy, too! Nicky Drayden’s TEMPER sounds bizarre (in a good way). Jonathan French’s THE GREY BASTARDS sounds fun, too, and Orbit has a 1.5-minute overview/gush about it here:

I wouldn’t refuse any of these four books. ;-)

Best of Horror caught my eye, mainly because it’s been so long since I’ve read any horror short fiction. Dacre Stoker disgraced his ancestor’s memory the first Dracula “sequel” he wrote, so if “Dracul” is another I think I will pass.

How come “the intern” isn’t doing the ARC posts? Thought that would have been a no-brainer to pass on. You must like doing them. ;)
