Lots of good stuff there, but I think I am going to keep a copy of “How To Invent Everything” in my glove compartment in case I ever wind up stuck back in time (my car is a very blue WRX named the TARDIS, so that is a very real possibility)
What’s that “Putting the SCIENCE in Fiction” one?
Charlie Jane Anders creates a narrative voice in ROCK MANNING GOES FOR BROKE that is completely engaging! And she packs a lot of story into a slim volume. It’s fun.

I love when these ARC stacks alert me to something I didn’t know was coming. This time it’s N.K. Jemisin’s “How Long ’til Black Future Month?”
My antennae is definitely up for Charlie Jane Anders; I like her short stories. I might be full when it comes to Wen Spencer’s “Tinker” but that bridge is to be crossed once I come to it. God save me from dragons.

I’m looking forward to Gigi McCaffrey’s book and have it on preorder. I love the Pern stories, so I really hope that she does justice to her mother’s world.
Just added “The Frighteners” to my Amazon wish list, it will go on my bookshelf next to “Danse Macabre” and David Skal books.
Do you often get books you may already have or reprints like Tinker which you may have read?
Is it wrong that your “New Books and ARC” pictures and “Big Idea” posts are the totality of my coming soon news? Since I add 1 book to my pile every few posts it is working as intended.
I’m having mixed feelings about another McCaffrey “child” venturing into Anne’s universe. I wasn’t that taken with Todd’s efforts, and I hope that Gigi does it more justice.
“Tinker” is a reprint IIRC but if you haven’t read it or Spencer in general I recommend it and her.
I’m definitely interested in what you think of that top one.

Also, the combination of “dragon” and “McCaffrey” on the same cover piqued my interest, but I expected to find out that it was actually a coincidence. But it’s not! May be worth checking out.
