I Had an Overnight Flight and Then Slept Until 1pm and My Brain is Mush, So Here’s Smudge, Posing Dramatically

I figure that will hold you until my brain comes back.

Also: What a great weekend at the Nebula conference, and not just because one of my best friends won the Nebula Award for Novel. It was good enough that I don’t actually mind my brain is mush today.

  1. He looks so dignified, but we know better. Problem with sleeping ’til 1 is that you won’t want to go to bed again ’til 3 or 4 am, thus perpetuating that schedule. Works for me, but then I’m old and retired so nobody cares (although it really embarrasses the maintenance guys if they have to come in).

  2. What a majestic handsome devil he is! And boy, doesn’t he just know it, too.

Very glad you had such a grand time, and I wish you a speedy recuperation.

  3. He does look very majestic! Although from that angle the fur pattern in his face make him look like an old man, and we all know that he isn’t

  4. Smudge looked like he’s got a black shirt pooled at his “wrists” and ankles… Still looking very regal, though.

  5. Congratulations on the writing skills of your friends and the modeling skills of your pets!

  6. That’s not just dramatic; that’s a pose for the last shot of the movie, with the main score coming to its stirring conclusion, then a half-moment of silence as the screen fades to black, then a grace note with the reprise of the title in white: SMUDGE.
