View From a Hotel Balcony, 8/11/19: Dublin, Ireland

No car parks (as they call them here), but a lovely view of the River Liffey. Oh, also, we have a balcony.

We’re in a few days before the Worldcon starts. Ironically, this weekend at the Dublin convention center there’s a comic con, so it already feels vaguely familiar around here.

I’m gonna take a nap now.

  1. Since you’re right on the Liffey and it’s relatively nearby, I’d suggest dinner at The Winding Stair, which is both a fantastic restaurant and a bookstore. What could be better than mixing innovative Irish cooking with books? It’s on the north side of the Liffey at the end of Ha’penny Bridge.

  2. We’ll be boarding a plane ourselves and heading that way in a few hours. Though our hotel isn’t on the river or (presumably) as close to the convention center.

  3. riverrun, past Eve and Adam’s, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
