@JRBooth – nothing wrong with some D&D books! I am in the middle of writing the adventures for my own home-brewed D&D campaign. Always interested in what ideas others have….

Storytelling is storytelling!

I don’t recognise any of the authors, again.
But that’s why I like this weekly treat.
I get recommendations here and often go off and try out a new (to me) author. So I’ll try Jennifer Estep (Crush the King).

Off topic, John, but related to books. Did you know that Old Man’s War is being used as course material for an “Introduction to Fiction” class here in Oregon? High praise, and well worth it.
Cheers

I’ve enjoyed the few Mel Odom books I’ve read, especially the one that explains that Moby Dick was unusually surly because he was possessed by an asshole alien. This one looks like standard military SF, which is right up my alley.

Looking at Amazon, he’s written a lot more than I realized. I knew he did a lot of media tie-ins, but wow. Buffy, Angel, Shadowrun, D&D, even Leisure Suit Larry. I might have to track that one down.

Love to see these stacks of books. Used to have a friend who worked in music journalism, he got a stack of vinyl albums every month 3 feet high, and would put most of them out on the curb for anyone to pick through, because he already had like two sets of shelves 16 feet long full of music. We heard some great music just released at his house! King Crimson, Pink Floyd, when they were just breaking out. Yes, I’m old.

Just wish they were all already available for purchase as opposed to preview editions not up for another couple of months.
