Life at Sea, Thursday Edition

It’s nice. I’ll be sad to be back on land.

Very idyllic. Glad you could enjoy it.
However, I remember long months bobbing about in the North Atlantic with iron skies, heavy seas and occasional all hands on deck ice removal (USCG). It was not offset by a brief assignment to the Caribbean. That abolished all romance from sea travel for me.

So on these cruises, do you, Liz Phair, Aimee Mann, etc mingle with the common folk or are you in your own VIP area?

(Not intending to cast any aspersions, just expressing how my mind insists it *surely* must be set up)

We just returned from a spring break cruise this week. School is now canceled, so the kids get another two weeks (at least) off. Their mom has to self-quarantine for two weeks before she’ll be allowed to return to work.

Be aware, it’s a different world than the one you left. I’m sure it will go back to the way it was, though.
